Sonja Gomzi Perak, painter

Sonja Gomzi Perak was born in Pula, where she lived and created until the year 2022, when she moved to Osijek. In Osijek she has begun her new life chapter. She got married and continues her work as a fine artist.
She has been developing her love towards art ever since she has attended the “School of Applied Arts and Design” in Pula. Afterwards she entered the “Academy of Fine Arts and Design” in Ljubljana, where she studied under mentor Emerik Bernard and graduated in the class of Herman Gvardjančič.
Moving to Osijek presents a turning point in her career because here she has started to paint her visions and dreams with more intensity, which was her subject during the academy as well. Her favourite motives include animals, portraits and surreal scenes. Even though she uses various techniques, her favourite one is oil on canvas.
In the year 2013, she had her first independent exhibition under the name “Rebirth”. Sonja Gomzi Perak continues to explore new art techniques and motives, constantly building her opus, with the aim of conveying through the artistic expression her unique visions and emotions to the audience.
